Silver Metalsmithing Class

Learn the metalsmith technique for setting stones in metal.  This class meets for two days during the week or over a weekend. In this class I will demo how to create a bezel and set a stone in sterling silver with a torch.

• How to design a pendant out of sheet metal, wire and      natural stones
• Bezel soldering, texturing a backplate, twisting wire     
• Measuring, joining silver with solder, firing a torch, safety measures
• Sanding and  refining sheet metal and wire.
• Fluxing, firng a torch, pickling, types of Solder
• Tumbling, polishing of metal
• Setting of stone
• Safety of using a kiln or torch, equipment

All  metal jewelry supplies, stone are included in the cost of taking this class. Any additional meta and stones used in producing more than one jewelry project during the class will be an additional cost for supplies. Cost of Jewelry Class is $350.00

 Includes instruction and materials kit.  The materials kit includes; sheet metal, bezel, 18 gauge round wire, bail wire and a stone to set. You will need your own tools if taking this class online. In Person tools are provided for your use. A kit can also be purchased from me at an additional cost of $350.00,
